Recalling an early 90s Los Angeles dominated by the aesthetics of Bret Easton Ellis, Dennis Cooper, street prostitution, and seedy porn shops, MY BROTHER'S KILLER expands upon the world of documentarian Rachel Mason's Circus of Books to tell the true crime story of Billy London, a gay adult film performer brutally killed in West Hollywood.

A documentary intended to honour his life took an unexpected turn when members of the community joined forces to uncover overlooked clues, seeking a resolution to the mystery of who killed him. At times shocking, sad, and ultimately very moving, this 2026 SXSW world premiere is much more than just a true crime story. It's the story of a life cut far too short, and the painful memories left behind.
